Mr. Tackman has been in the environmental and construction industry for over 25 years, primarily in site remediation, site development, demolition and disaster restoration. He has personally developed, managed and administered over $20,000,000.00 in remedial services from conception to completion, which facilitated over $250,000,000.00 in commercial and industrial real estate development. His diverse experience includes underground storage tank management, installation and removal, in-situ remediation, Brownfield redevelopment, Phase I environmental site assessments, hazardous and non-hazardous waste characterization and disposition, and site reclamation of environmentally impacted industrial and commercial properties. Mr. Tackman's experience is enhanced by his knowledge of and experience in reviewing buildings for signs of sick building syndrome, such as asbestos, lead-based paint and mold.
He has developed and managed over $5,000,000.00 in sales of site development services, which included site grading, excavating, and installation of sanitary and storm sewers and water services. In the process, he has been responsible for management of construction crews of up to 20 utilizing diverse amount construction heavy equipment. His project management experience also involves development and management of an environmental drilling company with annual revenues of over $500,000.00 and a staff of up to 8.
He has developed, estimated, project managed and successfully completed over $10,000,000.00 in disaster restoration, emergency and re-construction services. He spent 60 days in Lake Charles, Louisiana during the 2005 Katrina Hurricane disaster and was responsible for project managing and developing over $1,000,000.00 of disaster related work involving the following trade disciplines: roof tarping, board-ups, selective demolition, mold remediation, and structure drying.
April 1, 2009, Mr. Tackman opened MJM Restoration LLC a full service disaster restoration company serving south eastern Michigan. He serves as the Chief Executive Officer.
